Yup, that is true. But you can run a 2.3" tire. A friend of mine is using Continental Vertical Pro UST tires w/Mavic X317 rims(Stan's NoTubes setup). It's been working fine and you have some clearance for mud!

I stand corrected on the tire clearance... I guess a 2.3 is about its limit. The Blur looks sweet! I should be getting my hands on one later this summer to test ride.
