The Spyder is primarily a hard-core XC racer with steeper geometry and angles than the Blur.

The Blur is an all-around trailbike for all riding and all conditions. It does have a disadvantage in that it can't accept a tire larger than 2.1 really...

That's the skinny I heard at Interbike...

the Spyder is like $2100 for the light frame and the blur is $1300. they're pretty close in weight anyway.

Yup, that is true. But you can run a 2.3" tire. A friend of mine is using Continental Vertical Pro UST tires w/Mavic X317 rims(Stan's NoTubes setup). It's been working fine and you have some clearance for mud! :thumb:

I stand corrected on the tire clearance... I guess a 2.3 is about its limit. The Blur looks sweet! I should be getting my hands on one later this summer to test ride.

I will be getting my Blur next week, so I will post some reviews on how good in looks in my leaving room because we still have some much snow here!

BTW, how much was the spyder and when will you get it!

I agree with what others said, spyder is little more race oriented.
