A 1 yr old Fox Float on my wife's FSR is squeelling like a stuck pig. It does not appear to be losing air though. Is this indicative of a larger problem waiting to pounce? Can I fix it myself? if so how?

There is very little you can't do yourself on the Fox Shock. Except taking the damper apart. You need compressed nitrogen and a way to get it in to do that. Bushings are easy to remove. I use a vice and a couple sockets. One socket (11mm?) to push the bushing through and a larger one to support the other side and allow the old bushing out.

Air sleeve maintenance is only a little harder than opening a jar. Remove the shock, let out the air, clamp the end with the air valve in a soft jawed vice, unscrew the airsleeve. Clean, relube with slick honey, or something similarly thin, and reassemble. Its easier to screw the sleeve back on with the shock in the bike where you can use the suspension to compress the shock.

There are excellant videos on the fox site to explain these things.

Might be linkage bushings too though.
