Norcal :/
I did a couple runs at Northstar after I did this to my rear derailler. It's an old 9.0.
I don't think this qualifies as a 'lucky' hit. I still can't believe it didn't blow up.

Looks flexy.
My poor 9.0SL has copped alot of hits, and I just bend it back in to shape. Alas, it's been bent that many times now, that I have no chance of getting it straight in any dimension.

But to me, that's not a strength at all... I think their derailleurs are weaker than Shimano's, which is a shame, because I love the feel of SRAM. Maybe they should bring out a "freeride" range of derailleurs (and brakes, and forks ;)) with a bit more beef, as I'm sure people would snap them up. How many people would love to run a Saint-like derailleur, with "proper" shifting?

I have had drastically better luck with SRAM mech's than Shimano's. I have snapped several xt's and lx's on the first try, whereas even my old 9.0 and 7.0 mech's have each taken multiple hits before giving it up. Since switching to X.7's I have actually replaced my first one at the beginning of this season after the oroginal took about five separate big tags, and was still actually trying it's damndest to shift for me. I still have it in a box just in case I need it at Whiazzler.....

Shimano is full of crap, sram is beating thier asses on all fronts.

NORCAL is the hizzle
The more I ride N*, the more parts get thrashed. It's usually the other way for me, once I get to know a place I can clean everything AND save my rig. But there's something about N*, as I get it more dialed I go through more parts....

Gee maybe all those rocks have something to do with it.

 :blah:
