I am looking at purchasing a new SRAM Red Crankset. I have been a long time Ultegra user. Assuming a proper install and a complete 10 speed group, does anyone know of any problems with this crank? I am torn between the two. I am 175 lbs... Thank you in adavance for your help.

As someone who has their hands on the stuff day in and day out, I really have to agree. Shimano leads in ring design and shifting performance. It's noticable when going back to back with the offerings from SRAM, FSA, Rotor, Campy. Shimano just has down with that part of the bike IMO. As for stiffeness, weight, etc., I'll let you guys nerd over that.

I'm homeless
Shimano cranks > everything else. Better chainrings, BBs, design.
What he said. The shimano chain-ring simply out-shift EVERYTHING.

Remember with the 6700 stuff though, it's A symetrical. You'll have to check with shimano and see what all you're going to need to go along with those cranks, as much of the group only works with itself
