"It was a funny angle!"
I love the grip shift but I hate having to track down a sram derallur everytime I smash one up.....no one stocks them where I live, even the dealers listed on the sram website.

Anyone have any experience with Rocket shifters coupled with say an XT rear derallure, and an xtr front?

thanks

They work fine. Maybe nat quite as well as an all SRAM set up but still good. SRAM grip shift works better with a 1:1 pull ratio. Shimano is 2:1 so Attack shifters are too.

Personally, I'd try to find an old-style Attack shifter from before they started using this "SRS" system. They put a spring assist in the shifter and frankly, it makes it feel like sh*t.

But anyway, I have one of those old Attacks on my DH bike, which I think is the 2nd or 3rd bike it's been on. They're great, they work fine.

llkoolkeg had the newer Rockets or Attacks with the SRS and was very frustrated by how bad they felt; last time I talked to him about it he was going over to 9.0s.....

So, Julio. Does this mean you're able to ride again soon? We've missed ya out in the 'Shed....
