I bent the screw on my older X.9 rear der, the one that adjusts how far away from the casette the der sits and it doesn't seem to want to bend back. I was thinking about replacing it with a new X.0 but it's almost double what a new X.9 costs. It seems to be a little bit lighter, is there any other major advantages?

This is for a trailbike that I'm not exactly "gentle" with.

exact same internals, X0 just a lil bit lighter.
No they're not actually. I broke an X.0 that I've had for over a year last weekend and then proceeded to break the x.9 I put on about 2 runs later. I tried to piece them together and the bolt connecting the pulley cage assembly differs between the two models.

This bolt holding on the cage assembly on the X.0 is made to be the point of failure and as such, sram sells replacements which are fairly cheap. ($20 approx). X.9 derailleurs are more like shimanos, break'em, trash'em. X.0 derailleurs are designed to be a part of your bike that stays there. I've never had a derailleur take so much abuse and still function so flawlessly. I'm repairing the one I have and buying another for another bike. They are a much better investment than buying disposable derailleurs of any sort.

i don't think that the x.o is worht the cost. the der. are designed to the same strenght requirments the x.o is just a little lighter. as for the people that have broken the x.9 with ease i have to wonder what the der itself went though because in by book it is the toughest and most reliable der i have ever used! granted i have not tried the x.o but i have used the 5.0, 7.0, alivo, deore, lx, xt, xtr and the x.9 has made all of those ders look pitiful
