So I'm starting to build up a single speed, and I have a question on bottom brackets. The cranks are forged race face isis cranks, MMcG said I should be concerned about quality/durability of the bb. My question is: what do you all recommend for bb's? I plan to use this as a trail bike, with maybe some urban or bmx track(winter) thrown in.

MMcG? The guy can't even decide which frame he wants (he gets a new one like what, every 3 weeks?) and you're going to let him effect your bb & crank selection????? ;) ;) :p

I've had good luck with old square taper, and bad luck with (truvativ) isis.
This makes me think that bearing size is an issue.
The new outboard bearing stuff (big-ass bearings) looks made for SS.

Hey He's getting the cranks from me too so shush Mr! ;)

Sweep - get a good quality Race Face Bottom Bracket to go with the cranks and you should be in great shape.

Just don't get one of the 'cheaper' RaceFace ones. Heck, Nashbar has a self-branded ISIS bottom bracket that looks identical to the FSA Platinum and is only like $18.
