Sunday morning MizN8 & I braved the cold and rain to participate in a St. Patty's day ride put on by a local bike shop. Our area had been getting rain dumped on us to the tune of about 4" by Sunday morning. Anyhow, we got about an hour and a half break in the weather which was long enough for us to ride. Only a dozen or so people showed up so it gave me a chance to win something 
. The local bike shop was giving away some $350+, plus swag, plus some really cool trophies!
The trail builders were on hand to give us the green light for racing (heck they even raced too!) so we hit the trail. There were a couple of flooded sections totaling about 100 yards that had some 2-3 foot of water we had to get thru but other than that it was mostly muddy.
I won the Amateur class and MizN8 won the Women's on my old Stumpie. We collected $75 in prize money and a couple of cool trophies. I told MizN8 that she was now officially a Trophy Wife...
