Oct 23/24 - Stanford @ Santa Teresa park (no race flyer available yet). If you like loose fire roads, this is your DH race. NORBA has been offered in years past.
That is the sum total. I've heard its mostly fireroad...

It is not a fire road at all! It is at Santa Teresa Park and they run it down rocky ridge. Full expo on LLC.com

I like that course. It's pedally.

Stone elected to wear lycra a few years back...

Anyone who saw it probably suffered corneal damage from trying to scratch their eyes out.

:shudder:

FYI -The site says 5 minute runs, I recall it being half that. (unless it's changed)

Ant there are no fire roads involved except for the very very top 2 turns or so.

I rode it last night. Oh boy is rocky ridge...rocky! It's really not steep at all, just a 4-5 minute hammer fest. None of it is on fire road, at least last year it started and ended on single track. If I had a 4 or 5 inch bike I'd bring it, my bullit is probably going to be overkill, but bring what ya got. Someone was asking about prizes..t- shirts and water bottles from what I remember. It's a pretty low key race if you're average joe NORBA rider, I'm not sure how it works for the NCAA people. Just come out for the fun and the fact that it's one of the few DH races in the bay area. Santa Theresa park gets hotter than hell, so bring alot of water. There's also bbq pits down where the times are announced. There's also a $5.00 parking fee  , you pay a machine so bring small bills.
