Steel Frame - Paint Touch Ups?

I know there was an article in Bicycling magazine about a year ago - or more - but I can't find it . . . what to do?

I'd guess there are about 25 places where the paint is nicked or scratched . . . this is one of the worst spots, located on the top tube (see photo below)

Go to the hobby shop and get some matching paint, a brush, fine sand paper and some cleaner.
Sand out the chip, feathering away from center.Tack off the spot,to clean it, with a piece of masking tape. Fill in the chip area with paint, use a couple of layers to build it up and blend into exsisting paint. You could then use very fine sand paper(wet) to remove high spots and blend in. Then polishing compound to finish it off.

Or the quick way, chip off any lose paint around the chip and use nail polish or paint to stop it rusting. If it's just going to happen again there isn't much point spending a lot of time on it.

You can get about any color for dirt cheap and it will last. No need to sand and all that, just clean the area and paint. If that doesn't work, powder coat the bitch :D
