Hey guys,

New to these forums - I apologize if there's another thread already out there on this topic. I just bought a Trek Fuel EX 9 frame and am looking for a fork. It is a size 18.5/19.5 virtual. I'm looking at a few different forks on craigslist/ebay... anybody know what kind of steerer tube length I need to ensure I'm not coming up short through the head tube? Obviously I'd rather be too long then too short...

Im over here now
you need to find the headtube length of the frame, the total stack height of your headset, the height of your stem and any amount of spacers you are going to use.

Thanks a lot for the info. 120mm head tube length, 18mm headset height and 42 mm stem height = roughly 7.10 inches, so I'd have some room left over for spacers as well. Looks like the 7.5" fork I'm looking at would work! Thanks again.
