uh... what threads are you talking about? Steerers haven't been threaded since 1993.
If you mean there's not enough steerer above the top crown, then you will have to use the integrated stem, and some spacers in place of a normal stem to get proper headset preload.
No offense, but if you don't understand what I'm talking about you may want to enlist the help of shop and have them show you how they assemble everything. DC fork setup can be tricky, and you can ruin your fork, your headset, your frame, or yourself if you don't do it right.
nar mate i know, the fork is brand new, there is plenty of room. but every fork ive had has had a thread in the steerer tube of the fork, but the new 888's dont.
i think you near a star nut or whatever they are called, you mean the one to tighten down the headset?!? You can fit one but just get a headlock instead, better the marking the inside of the steerer. if you use the bolt on stem from marzocchi you need to put spacers on the steerer so you still tighten down the headset
No offense, but if you do not know about unthreaded vs. threaded steerer tubes and starfangle nuts, than you should not be working on you own bike. Based on your questions and the way you are asking them, I would say you are headed towards a pile of very expensive and very broken parts.
What issue do you have with the stock integrated stem? They work great.

I am calm and I didn't say that you were stupid. When I read "no threads on the steerer" and having "rocking back and forth in the head tube " b/c of it, that sends up some pretty bik red flags. I was just trying to look out for you.
