How do you stick on grips so they don't move? Obviously, hair spray doesn't work:cool:

Also, I bent my rear wheel. Will any mtb wheel work (I have a 9 speed rear)? Can I just change my chainring over to another mtb wheel or does it it have to be 9 spd specific?

Thanks,
James

On the rear wheel. Nine and eight speed hubs are the same width. A 9 spd is made thinner, hence the need for a thinner chain. So the answer is yes and you are right, a seven speed wheel will not work.

Grips- here is my fool proof method. First, remove any old adhesive and dirt from the bar. Take some sand paper ( 80-150 grit) and scuff the surface of the bar. I like to use rubbing alcohol to slid ethe grip on. I then safety wire the grips in place if I am going to be riding in the wet. If the grips are not open ended on both sides, like a sock- place a nickel all the way down and this will halp kepp the ends from getting ripped off so soon. Hairspray and paint both work but I never needed to use them.
