Anyone had any experience removing the chainstay from a Stinky? I've got an '02 Deelux that I need to strip for painting and I can't remove the non-drive side pivot near the BB. It turns with a ton of force but doesn't loosen. It must be pressed in with the bearings, but I thought I'd ask before I try and push it out. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm painting my Stinky DeeLux, and emailed Kona for info. They told me having it painted by a non-Kona-licensed shop will void the warrantee, but I don't care about that. They said you need a drift which will screw into the side of the pivot you were able to remove that small bolt from. Screw that in, and then tap the pivot bolt out. Just call your local Kona dealer and they should have the tool you need.

Yeah, I finally got it out. They gave me the same warning about a "factory authorized painter" but the closest one to me is in Portland, OR and I'm on the east coast. Thanks for the info.
