my bike was stolen from me yesterday while i was at school doing paper work. i was outside of the student center where i'd parked my bike the entire semister and locked up to the only bike rack there. i was at school simply to fill out paper work for my dorm and to figure out why i had a hold on my account. the lady in the housing department asked me if i could hang out for a while so she could figure out what the problem was, didn't have anything to do and my bike had been safe there all semister (cops were at that corner all the time and is HEAVILY traversed by ppl going in and out of other buildings by it). After she figured it out i filled out some other paper work, took 15 minutes to do, and headed back out to my bike. i came around the corner and just saw my lock on the ground. it felt like someone just kicked me in the nuts as hard as they could.

if by some odd chance anyone sees the bike online PLEASE notify me. the bike has some extremely distint parts on it. the bike was/is an old c'dale cadd 3 saeco, threaded 3t stem, black thomson seat post, YELLOW slr saddle, RED speedplay zero's, full ulterga, 11-23 cassette, Power Tap Pro with NO CPU unit, yellow bar tape, maxxis refuse front tire and catagorie hors rear tire that says PROTOTYPE on it. the cranks are 172.5 and the actual frame is a 58cm.

if anyone comes across the bike on EBay or anywhere else PLEASE email me or PM me.

I know it's not the movie quote thread but...

"I just wish I caught him doin' it. Oh man, I'd give anything to catch him doin' it. It'a been worth his doin' it, if I coulda just caught him, you know what I mean?"

thanks you guys! just learn from my lessons and invest in a U lock and/or one of those heavy ass locks from kryponite. it's completely worth it to just tug the extra weight around to know that your bike is going to be there when you get back.

i haven't exactly figured out what hurts me the most, either knowing that the person who stole the bike knows what they got and stole it to make $$ off of me, OR the person who stole it only for a couple of crack rocks :( :(

and echo i hope i do find em, i' saved my cut lock just for them....the actual locking mechanism sure does weigh a decent amount and would probably hurt alot if it makes contact with the skull.

Let the local bike shops know about it too - there are at least two or three of them that allow free classifieds (FreeFlite & CycleWorks) - also, check out road bike review dot com's classifieds in addition to eBay.

Good luck

I hate that it happened.

BTW - I met a guy a couple weeks ago on an Independent bike - nice young semi-pro mtb rider. Everyone I've ever met who rides an Independent is cool.
