My buddy got his Giant Team DH stolen out of the back of his truck when he was helping me grab my MC 9.5 and gear for a trip to Whistler.
We called the cops right away. Usually cops don't care about stolen bikes, but he saw my bike, which cost around $6,000 and we told him the Giant was very similiar. It turns out that if the bike is worth more than $5,000 it is Grand Theft and the cops will do something about it.

The cops grabbed some black guy riding around on my friends bike and hauled him and the bike in. So my buddy got his bike back a couple days later.
