So I listed an item with no reserve. Gave it a "Buy It Now" price, and stated that if it sells with "Buy It Now" I'll cover shipping. Then I proceeded to go have some beers.

So I come home, and there's 4 questions in my email saying "What's the buy it now price?"

WTF. I go back and look at the ad, and the "Buy It Now" price is gone.

Stupid ebay.

i don't understand the buy it now. i had something listed with "buy it now" and no reserve, and the buy it now disappeared when someone bid fifteen cents. so much for my $250 buy it now price.

"Buy It Now" goes away when someone bids.

You have to set your reserve at teh same price as the buy it now. The buy it now goes away if someone bids and there is no reserve, or when someone bids past the reserve.

That is a Common. I do it all the time if I see something I like that has a Buy it now , and a Low opening bid, I will bid low just to get rid of the buy it now option.
