At midnight and one o'clock in the frickin' morning?!?!?!!!! :mumble: :mumble: WTF? And, I don't want to hear about everyone that is going to record it on TIVO and watch it with your morning coffee either.

It's sad that cycling gets coverage on the backup sports station -and- in the middle of the night.

Is it possible that we'll ever see it on the prime sports station during prime time?

That's the same time as what I put. EST is 3 hours off of PST. Staying up until midnight or 1:00 (MST) and getting up for work at 5:30 just isn't going to happen.

Read about the Prologue on Velonews this morning. The first stage begins in 30 minutes, looks like the tour's web site has live updates so I'm gonna slack at work at keep up to date on the tour there. :) Sounds like stage 2 is going to be pretty exciting.

Rock on.

*I wish I could watch it, but I have cheap cable, so I can't.

funny, those hills get a lot bigger the longer you're in the saddle. and it's one after another after another after another after another after another, etc...riding alone through that **** is taxing on the ol' psyche.

It showed Stage 1, but at 11pm PST. Btw, I was punished for making fun of the East Coast/West Coast time difference. I was spacing, and I missed the part of Stage 2 where the cameras went right by me. I was running along with the peleton to make sure I would make it on camera!

I was standing next to some other "serious" bikers. We all had our cameras at the ready, and I snapped a few good ones of lone breakaway, Mike Creed.

But when the front group arrived, I went bananas and ran after them, snapping some bad photos and yelling allez allez! However, I was in just enough control so that another spectator did not have to pull me down before I hit a rider.
