I saw this story this morning stupid people piss me off.


We have reports that firefighters from Boothwyn, PA responded to some sort of a trash truck explosion/fire today. All crew members of the town's trash truck crew are also volunteer firefighters. A homeowner decided to put a propane tank in their garbage-and it was unknowingly collected... and when they compressed it, it exploded. Although not "on duty" as a firefighter, the trash truck operator, who is a firefighter, is in very serious condition.

Excuse me if you wrote that yourself, but that report was really poorly written. It's sad that could happen, but shouldn't the garbage man who is a trained firefighter have been a little more attentive as to what he was dumping in the truck?

On some of the newer models of trash trucks, a robot arm, controlled by the driver picks up the garbage can and dumps the contents into the truck. If he was driving one of those trucks, he'd never be able to see the contents of what got dumped into the truck.
