This is twice now!! Stupid rear STI lever doesn't like cold weather. :mumble: So, I'm stuck with a 3 speed into work. :redhot: The worst part is I was stuck in a somewhat low gear, 3rd largest on the cogset. So, I'm fine when the road is steep or moderate. But downhill I was spinning out at 20mph.

Anyone have an old 7 or 8 speed STI rear lever that they want to get rid of?

Boeshield T9 lube is what you need man.

Pull that shifter off and apart just enough so you can spray this lube in there. It's break up all the old grease(which gets hard in cold weather causing the mech. not to work) and loosens everything up so it works in all kinds of weather.
