sorry for this extremely dumb question, but I do need the answer.

I am building a bike and I am getting the sram x.7 build kit from price point.

what other parts do I need besides the frame and fork?

I didn't see a BB included in the kit so I was wondering if anything else was missing.

to refine my question: I already have the frame and fork and I thought the kit gave you everything else you need to have a working bike but I don't think it does and I cant tell what it doesn't give you.

-pedals


build tools:
- headset press
- external bb tool
- cassette tool
- chain break
- cable cutter
- pipe cutter for steerer tube and seat post
- basic bike tools (allens, t-25 torx, tire levers)


did I miss anything?

poly lube or similiar

your BB is in the kit

The BB probably comes with the crank assuming it's a GXP model. You'll need what ultranoob and GFF have laid out for you. Looks like you'll also need housing and cables for the brakes and housing for the derailleurs.

Don't get a pipe cutter as it can flair/ovalise/deform softer Al tubes, get a park tool saw guide and some fine tooth hacksaw blades:
