Trying to find out if Sugar or Beech Mtn will be opening the chair lifts for pactice that Friday before the Beech Mtn Qualif. race?

pretty sure Sugar has theirs open till labor day
We do but only sat and sunday. Not sure if beech is doing fri, sat and sunday or just sat and sun for the qualifier.

We should just buy the chairs they're selling and do our own thing. 
Friday would be a good idea, esspecially for those coming from along way. It would be nice to have another day of lift riding. A lot easier than shuttling Heartbreak.
You could conceivably shuttle beech if the trail was open but the lift was not, youd go left out of the parking lot, the up N Pinnacle Ridge, park at the powerlines, and either sweat it to the top, or coast the summer Rd and ride the trail below there.
FYI Driving to the top of the chairlift is not cool with the homeowners or the land of Oz.

And please don't ride the DH trails on Beech until the races.
There are a few of us coming up from FL to ride Friday. Before the race and it would be nice to a lift service running..
How many people do we need standing at the bottom of the lift at Sugar Friday morning for them to run it?

Or the actual owners of the land, the resort. Please don't recommend that people try to shuttle the resort trails, it is private property.

Is there some general schedule for the qualifier weekend. Hours of practice and such.
DaveBethea-The lift will not run at sugar that Friday sorry. Only Saturday and Sunday and everyone will be at the qualifier. You should get plenty of practice time at the qualifier at Beech that Saturday though with the new bike trays.
