suggestion for allmtn/xc bike

    san diego, north park
    all mtn/ xc bike. a bike that can take a beating but can climb for around $1500 less than 2grand. been looking at the sant cruz, reign II, ironhorse mk III, norco, but I wish I can afford a turner 6pack. any suggestions? thanks

    Prophet 600. Or wait until all the new 2006's come out. They have a good amount to offer this year in a whole bunch of different price ranges.

    The Spesh Enduros are nice, maybe a little out of the price range you were looking for though. I personally think it would be hard to beat the Heckler for a good all arounder bike that is inexpensive(relatively).

    I am not sure about the Enduros. They finally got rid of the old frame design all the way. So you might want to give their lowest model a look when it comes out.

    I know that It'll get beat on in the rest of this thread.

    You can get a SC Heckler for around a grand. Its not the new technology, but its a proven design that works and can take a pounding.
