I am actually considering getting a bike that meets Summit rules - 6 inch single crown front & 6-7 inch rear. Probably better suspension than a 5 year old Giant DH anyway.

My question: Do they hassle you for full gear, including a chest protector?

They don't seem to care what you wear but I don't think you will wear that much gear after you see what trails are available. Nothing that rocky or technical up there. Just fun single track and fire roads that connect the fun single track.

There are plenty of technical trails, including lots of rocks and high speed (especially for a 6" bike). We wear brain buckets, elbows and shin/knee guards and they are fine with that.

Rode it last year with a couple of guys & gals in full armor. Chairlift operators didn't care one bit.
