treated a nasty injury. Finger was split in half when a horse kicked and caught the hand between the hoof and a stall wall. Bone sticking out, muscle and skin hanging by a flap. Rinsed it with sterile water to flush off the debris so I could see what was up then bandaged with roll gauze and tape then sent them to the hospital. I hope they get to keep the finger.
Fixed a drainage issue that's existed since I bought the house, added a few planter boxes, and finished the expanded patio, and new patio set. Some shrubs to follow.
Howdy all. Went riding today in Eastern Washington (albeit only just so, technically: Cle Elum) in order to avoid the torrential rain. Struggling with fit/geometry issues with the large Turner RFX/6 Pack that I bought from a fellow monkey here on this ride, as on earlier ones, led me to decide to buck up and sell all this **** and start anew.
The bike had felt fine on its NY shakedown rides, but Long Island was essentially flat. The riding here + my slow-ass uphill speed to start with just wasn't jiving with me.
Did I mention that all of these auctions have 1 cent starting bids and no reserve price? Please pass on these links to your riding buddies if they're in the market for any of this kind of stuff.
I think I'll finish this Seattle riding season on my old 29er, and then will reconsider the bike situation after getting acquainted with the Denver area trails.
