Wedding today. Ugh.

Probably no ride today. Local trails will be a soupy mess and most likely not enough time to head north to the good trails, which also drain the water very well.

Sad.

I'm going hiking with the family since I've been and will be away so many evenings this past week + tonight due to music. I hope to hear no creaking sounds. :D

In hell. Welcome!
Morning! Humid and wet as ufck early today. We must have gotten more rain in the past four days than in the past four months. Wet roots and rocks were certainly fun but the trails were a bit too damp. Let's see if we get some hero dirt tomorrow.

super early dawn patrol dirt church. when you only ride once every 3 weeks, it's probably not smart to start it with a 14 mile climb (granted it was a forest road climb, but still). it was sooo worth it, but I am le toast. :dead:

Holy fuck was it nasty hot and humid this morning. Pure evil and made for a miserable ride on top of the fresh cut spongy loamy trails.
Yesterdays ride was so much more pleasant with the overcast 70° temps.

Beer, bong shed and soaking in the ocean on tap.

Been a rough couple week family wise, culminating with news that my mom has lung cancer (non smoker).
Waiting to see specialist for prognosis but not looking good.

Sucks about your mother, dan-o.

Mariko complained the whole hike long. Starting about 100 feet from the car she started a "my legs are tired, I want to ride in the backpack" refrain, replaced by "I can't sleep, I can't sleep" once back in the car. (She ended up sleeping.)

We ended up ignoring her such that she hiked 1.5 miles before the conversion to parent-powered locomotion. Wife walked 2.2, I did an even 3 via an extra spur to a lookout. Yuna and Mariko seemingly nearly weigh the same now, which is just as well since I had one or the other of them in the carrier the whole time.

Then we found actually decent Asian food way out in the southern boonies of Littleton; http://jpsasianbistro.com/ . I tipped well--got to support my fellow Asians, even if they are Korean and not Japanese.

where the trails are
Weekend of thin air, massive views, fine ass trails, mach-chicken descending, borderline hypothermia, gas, tree lines, more stupidity via gravity, and tales of the very rare rocky mountain hippopotamus.

Nowhere Man!
Went for a ride on my friends Harley. It was fun. Ate expensive Italian cold cuts and cheeses by the pool. Smoked a Cuban. Drank expensive whiskies and wines. Corn on the cob and steamers....
