I've got some one day MTB festival/trail opening thing to attend today...something about riding bikes and eating food. I dunno...wife signed us up for it.
Drove to work to get three days of paperwork I haven't done, still haven't done it and I'm going to bed.
Monday morning will be paperwork, unloading the truck and emptying 200L of waste hyd fluid, procrastinating is fun, till it isn't.

Present. Coffee. Considering a road ride once it warms up. Cold front came through last evening along with some rain. Seasonal temps have returned.
Went to sleep early, awake early. But at least of my own volition and not light driven. Wifey taking the girls up to downtown today so that I can spend the day studying. Hoping to get Wifey's new floating shelves installed at some point today, maybe as a break during study.
Got Haley's boots yesterday. Went by REI to just try on a pair of boots and found a pair of the next level up in the Garage Sale stuff. They were returned for "fraying plastic after 1 season", but it was just standard single season wear - abuse of the return policy. Good condition, 4 buckle, adjustable buckle, $170 boots for $50. Plus her feet fit nicely into the heel cup and they are high enough grade to get them fit.

Espresso then walk the 200 yards from the camper to the competition arena. I must say that they threw quite the party here last night. Food by Dickies BBQ, live entertainment. Way fun
after vacarion foray in elk avoiding i chose to drive to dc during the day instead of night since the route i take is a slaughter trail of hit deer on the side of the road....

Had a super fun ride with a friend yesterday, then grabbed some enchiladas mole and crashed early. Slept like, 8 hours? fucking wonderful. Breakfast, garage clean-up/chores, and a trip to the hardware store for a tiny ass drill bit.

Took the van camping with some friends for two days. I am grateful that views like this are 20 minutes from my house

Raised about a grand for the pumptrack last night. The beer garden was next to the taco truck. The damn queso taco craze is delicious. No complaints from me.
slight chance i may be moving back to the northern part of my home state early next year. if so gonna need you and @scrublover to show me the goods...
I always tag along on other people's rides, but you are welcome to join us any time. The more, the merrier! There's like 2-3 places I can navigate myself without getting lost.
Got another ride in which makes three this week and two hikes. Not too bad I suppose. Gotta bank as much fitness as I can before I get busy with the Christmas season. The less fitness I lose, the less I’ll have to work to get ready for my thru hike in the spring.
Only if next year’s event has a running section. Then he’s a shoe in for sure.
