Lazed around slightly hungover, then did two hours of poisoning lantana, wild tobacco and removing Wandering Weed, after that I rode maybe 20km.
Two days on the bike on a row is uncommon these days, played slightly drunk dodgeball yesterday too.

Damn my shoulders and back are fried from fly fishing yesterday. Took the dogs out to the meadow to go play. I was thinking that I should have had ibuprofen beforehand. Brewing espresso and waiting for the ibuprofen to kick in. Fly fishing this morning is all I have planned

Hello peoples

Today I work. From home, unless I'm called in to do a fluoro procedure, in which case I'll haul my carcass the 6 miles in to do that then haul myself back home since it's more comfortable here and all.

Also working Monday through Friday from the hospital, and Saturday again from home. 7 days in a row!

Definitely got a little sun burned yesterday. Woke up with a headache. Blargh.

Going to go for a short ride in a bit. It'll be the first ride on some proper gnarly rock slab trails. Hopefully the moose sized mosquitos have all but died. Will take some rox pix for jdcamb.

What's up, Brolando Magic!! I was asleep at 8:30 last night, as were the dogs, so I wasn't even mad when they wanted to go out at 4:30 this morning. Then I went back to bed for two more hours. Just finished a 14 mile run. Is hot out.

Stayed up way too late, again.

Haven’t ridden since the Toaster got totaled by a deer in June. Been getting out to hike and walk some. New car won’t be here for another 2.5 weeks. Definitely looking forward to being able to transport a mountain bike again.

Mellow bike path ride this morning. Actually a pretty decent path considering I live in the bike hater capital of California.

Path backs up to a bike shop, pizza joint, steak house and a little Vietnamese.

In the bathroom, fighting a battle
Was looking for an excuse not to attend a wedding in Fallbrook (for those unfamiliar, it’s not quite satans asshole, but it’s in the same neighborhood) but I was thinking something more along the lines of a flat tire, or perhaps a freeway closure.

No rotten patio for me. Granite tiles arrive Tuesday.

Rode hard today and been tired all day. It’s hard work getting in shape. Still got to remove some weeds in the garden.

Ouch. Garden destruction done. Will need to till new soil in before I can plant it then put down garden cloth, but that's a few weeks out. Some mind numbing and then on to building the grill.

Rode to the new 6th street bridge, had some coke at the bike shop, got home. 50 miles

2500 KM in July. It's going to be hard beating it. To myself being obviously in the best shape of my life is sort of spooky. Trying to hold onto the fitness and life's responsibility has me a bit sad because being fit isn't here to stay. The "fuk it go ride" part has been fun. Gonna scrub dishes and make a lobster pasta dinner.

What a fucking awesome weekend fishing. There was a midge hatch going on I caught and released close to 40 Brook trout and probably lost as many. I ended on a really high note. I saw 3-4 fish rising really close together and dropped my dry fly/nymph set up right on top of them. Dry fly got creamed and my fly rod really bent then I saw two different flashes of silver. I had a fish on the dry and a fish on the nymph. Called it a day after letting them go

ER post surgery, no prognosis yet, but I think it’s decent since they have me set up for weight bearing. Gotta do some more courses if antibiotics.
