Hi all,

I couldn't exactly decide which forum to put this question in, so please understand if it doesn't apply here.

I have a several year old pair of bolle cycling glasses. Relative to their purpose, they're still going strong. However, the rubber ear and nose pieces are starting to fall off. One of the rubber nose pieces actually fell off the other week, and one of the ear pieces has the frame sticking out the end. For the nose piece, would you recommend using normal glue to put it back on? What about the rubber ear piece? Any other ideas?

Thanks for your help.
Andrew

Just make sure the glue is safe on rubber. Some glues will eat away at rubber if you're not careful. I suppose some type of epoxy/silocone is probably yoru best idea, but also probably overkill.

I use epoxy for just about everything I want to be permanent, and a tube of silicone caulk for everything I don't.

Epoxy - I'd like these babies to stay put. Should any normal hardware store carry epoxy? Ideally, I'd like a small container of it, not some half gallon jug.

Thank you for your help, it's much appreciated.

yep - hardware stores, home improvement stores... Walmart might even have it.

You can usually get a thing that looks like 2 ajoined syringes - each with one part of the epoxy. You mix em up, they do their thing, you're all set. Will still be way more than you need, but certainly not a Sam's Club sized tub for sure.

Yep, as jackson says, it's two syringes that you mix up.

I use a toothpick to mix them and then the same toothpick to apply it.
