i heard sunn is coming out with this new downhill rig from somewhere on southerndownhill.com, what is this all about. Supposedly all the magazine companys like MBK, MSC,Q Bikes are getting pretty excited about.

The sunn radical is a such a cool little bike. If I found one of the old completes on ebay again I would try and win it.

There is a linkage in there. You just can't see it in the pics. And you really can't argue with the results that bike got.

Bear in mind Sunn bikes were pure race-bikes. Durability was not part of the basis of design.

My guess on the pivot is like the old GT RTS, it's designed to stiffen up under pedaling and provide a slightly rearward axle path under compression.

Like bballe said, Sunn riders won a lot of races, and while yes, they were two of the best ever (A-C and Nico), the bike wasn't holding them back.

Yeah those bikes ripped, they stuck to the ground like glue from what i was told, i remember fabian saying they were insainly hard to get off the ground.

whoa those are cool. the suspension looks similar to a turner DHR. what year were these frames produced? steel or al? what shock is that? pics are sorta hard to tell

looks like an amazing bike wonder what the new ones will be like, does any one have any info on the new rig, or nothing is leaving the factory

For a while I was actually looking for a 97-98 Sunn as a "shorter travel" race bike. Funny this came up....I haven't ridden one but what interested me was Nico riding em along with Barel and other people....they did well so the bike musta worked (and they are unique and rare in the U.S.)
