Woke up to ear splitting crash sometime in the middle of the night. Absolutely bonkers thunder and lightning for probably half an hour, interspersed with heavy rain. Finally went back to sleep, awake at 4 for work.

Slept until 7:30, the latest in many months. Not much planned for today. Got most of my town chores done. Just have food to organize and try. Will probably just lay around all day in my underwear eating ice cream.
Woke up intending to ride, but felt a bit beat after a long week of work and beach day yesterday.
So it's off to buy several watermelons. Cause that'll surely help.
More rain today, which is good. However, it is impacting my plans for trail riding. May have to take the gravel bike and fly rod out in the woods
Pedaled my bicycle already. It smells like a corn orgy out there with all the corn in full tassel.
Will probably reassemble my EnDuRbRo bike today, might need it at da shoe this week.

Rained all night. Wet race was called before the track was open to walk. The shop has stopped selling wet tires outside of the tent from what I can gather because they are doing another team need inventory. Today is gonna be fun.
Present. Slept in. Had aunt uncle and cousin over yesterday. Was nice to catch up. My cousin (mid 20s) just moved back from FL and is living in downtown PHL. Swam a bunch, smoked around 4 doz wings, and grilled some corn.
Wrist is sore from dh. I think I need to start lifting again.
Will try to dispatch what's left of the downed tree today. Quote for fence repair was under $500. Don't even have to file a homeowners insurance claim.
Not enthused about having to work this week. Might fuck off for dh laps on Friday again. Need to do some work on the bike if I'm gonna do so. Bike needs fresh tires, which won't be fun because cush core. Dominions need new pads. Or maybe I'll finally get around to installing the van mavens. Workshop needs some cleaning first before any of that can happen.

You’re right, that was terrible. The near 90% humidity added to the overall experience though.

Back from M'fest, have been putting away/cleaning up, sitting outside with a Foley Brothers Prospect.

1.2 mile swim - 25 minutes. Downstream - literal Olympic swimming speed!
56 mile bike: 2:51 (19.7 mph). Got dinged for drafting and had to serve a five minute penalty.
13.1 mile run: 1:39 (7:32 pace)
Damn solid work. Great weather for it!

/me took the brood up to A Basin for the ropes course. they enjoyed it. being traffic on the way back down from the mountains was suboptimal.
