We have had an early start to spring it appears. For the last few weeks it has been warm and sunny. Saturday was 70+! We rode out at Horse Ridge just east of Bend. The trails there have tricky lava rock sections that you can't just power through...you have to use finesse or you will likely slice a tire or get thrown off your bike. My fork for my DEAN is being pushed right now so I took my 575. It's a little extra effort to pedal that thing up and down the ridge, but is super fun.

Looking at your photos makes me want to cry. Outside my window is about 7 inches of hard pack/concrete like snow, with more wintry precipitation on its way tonight (although it may be in the 60's by Saturday!!!!)

The clocks a tickin'. Keep on meltin' down there so we can ride up Farewell this time. I want to go out Sector 16 and loop down the ridge to get there as well. Crossing my fingers.

How far is Horse Ridge from town and will it be too dusty the first weekend in June?
