I am buying a 2001 Super T with 6" travel and I am wondering :mumble: why cant I up grade it to 7" buy switching out the cartridges or something. Is the lowers shorter on the 01's than the 02's or what cause I dont see much of a difference between the 01's and 02's I emailed marzocchi and they said I cant but can some one please tell me why?????

Just a guess, but there has to be a certain amount of stanction/bushing overlap in the fork in order for it to be safe to ride. The 2001s probably don't have enough overlap when you put in the 7" cartridges.
The lowers are probably exactly the same, but the bushings inside the lowers and the stanctions are most likely different lengths.section 8 said:

His question isn't out of line. The exact same chassis came in a 7" version the next year. It's not that the fork isn't worthy of being a 7" fork, it's just that the particular year he's asking about isn't upgradable.zane said:
