i have been getting conflicting info so here is the question....I have an O4 Super T on the way and had a question about springs. From what I am told they come set up for 160-200 though I klnow at 195 I will bottom the stock stuff on harder landing. SO what do i need to buy? One spring at xheavy or xxheavy, both springs, etc?????

it seems when you call them and talk to a shop you get different answers. I was looking for someone who had made the change!

Try adding more oil to each leg. I think I added like 10cc's to each of mine it ramps up faster and almost never bottoms. I weigh 185.

Marzocchi sends those forks out with too little oil. The only reason I can think of is to keep the weight specs down.

You could also try removing one of the springs and getting an air retrofit cap for one of the legs. This allows you to easily adjust air pressure to change the spring weight, makes the fork more progressive, and saves a bunch of weight. I think it's pretty cheap too (~$20).

Here's some insider info. The straight poop....
Super T spring, and oil height is based around an aggressive 160 pound rider or a expert level rider up to 185#. The oil hieght is set for these kinds of riders. I however weigh 160 and can bottom out. I added oil (about 10cc's) and it doesn't anymore.

Now here's all the spring combos;
The stock springs that come in the fork are an X-heavy(5141264/C) and a heavy(5141272/C) spring.
One step up from that would be a X-heavy (5141264/C) and a X-heavy(5141280/C). For this you would only need one new spring per side. You can even just install one X-heavy(5141280/C) and leave the other side as is.
Then the firm set-up; It'll be XX-heavy (5141281/C) and a X-heavy (5141280/C). That would be the firmest spring rate availible.

From there you can still make your fork firmer. You can add air assist top caps (701245).
