I am almost positive that something broke on my car tonight, after hitting a big hole in the road. Now I just need to figure out what that noise is, that only seems to happen while going over manhole covers.
One of the sway bar links was squeeking last week, so I had it up on the lift to take a look. Everything was tight, maybe it finally took that big bump to break whatever it is.

I had a similar issue a few years back when ran over a parking barrier at about 10 MPH in sub zero snowy weather, after checking and seeing nothing I took it in and found out I'd blown a rear strut.
I hop you fixed it with moar shimz.
I managed to convince myself that I needed to replace both rear struts so there wouldn't any wear imbalance, not sure if that was required or not.
