Series Leader Marco Rodolico took home the win in the "SE3" pro class at this weekends Superenduro Euro Cup fueled by Monster Energy here in Sauze D'Oulx. The torrential rains that threatened all day managed to hold off and the sun stayed out until just after the last pro riders trickled in before dumping buckets of water on the course for the other classes to struggle down.

The race at Sauze D'Oulx started with a massive 3km, 250m road climb to the top of the first "Special Stage" (the first timed Dh run). At the bottom of the run, riders jumped on the first chair to the mid mountain point and then struggled their way up a 5km, 500m elevation climb that started out at 2000m. Not an easy task before dropping into a 16 minute downhill run that including a few steep climbs. At the end of Special 2, riders were thankful to jump on 2 chairs that took them right to the top for a repeat of Special 2, followed by one more ride to mid mountain for the final, super technical, Special stage 4. Rodolico's final time for the day (a combination of all 4 DH runs, + the Saturday evening urban DH prologue), was 37.19:05. Actual time in the saddle on Sunday: just over 5 hours of sweat, dust and saddle sores.
