Well, the surgery was successful. They pinned together everything that was floating around, realigned the base of my hand with my wrist and did a bone graft from my hip to my scaphoid. It hurt like crazy for the first cuople of days, but it's getting a little better now. I didn't realize how bad my hip would hurt from the graft. I'm hobbling around with a cane and look like a little old lady. I'm still in a semi soft cast with relief cuts in it to expand and shrink as the swelling moves around. But all in all, the doc thinks it looks really good for me. I get the first of several hard casts on thursday. Any suggestions on a color?? Well, i have the pictures from the accident finally. It takes a lot of effort to do computer work with on hand!!

Here's two pictures, one of my leg and one of my side the day after the wreck.

Good to hear things are going well. I, of course, went with Orange.

And finally, to keep my outlook positive, here's what I should look like! The riding picture is me hitting the section at schweitzer last year that did the damage to me two weeks ago.

Well you have a good point there. If ANY guy woke me from a drug induced slumber and he wasn't a doctor, I'd be mighty worried and grumpy too. ;)

So now that you are out of action, you can work on that non existent tan of yours. :D

Hey I'm from Oregon!! We really don't have sun here! And it's pretty hard to tan through my DH and moto kits! ;)

And I'm mostly Welsh. We don't really brown, we freckle!

For the items listed $5,230. I'm certain there's more stuff on the bill than that.

Good luck, keep moving, drink lots of water and eat lots of vitamins, fresh fruits and veggies.

Actually the first guess was the closest. It came in at about $4000. Not huge, but certainly the biggest ER bill I've ever logged! I love insurance!

wow, that is a good deal actually. As soon as you have CTs the bill usually skyrockets. Good stuff, and yes, insurance is key. I do not undertand people who get cable and beer before health insurance.

I just watched that Behind the Music on Rick James, and it showed the pics of that women he beat the hell out of, and it looked just like those pics. :D

Well, I realize that is probaly not that funny to you, so again I am sorry about your injuries and I hope that silly scaphoid heals up nice for ya! :thumb:

Take Care.

Wow.
How's your BF liking the XL Bullit? I'm loving mine, thanks again so much. Unfortunately, it's not as pretty as when I got it from him.
Anyway, I can't help but notice that in the pic of your side, it seems that you are missing a belly button. Any comments?
Do heal quickly, being injured is no fun for anyone. I'm just feeling better after a crash at Hemlock 3 weeks ago, but mere peas and carrots compared to you :(

Hah! That picture does make it look like i'm buttonless. I assure you I do have one. I think it looks funny because of my pants being very very low (almost indecently low). I'm low ridden right now because my hip was so bruised and now the opposite hip hurts because it was the bone graft doner. Dave is loving his bullit. I'm glad to hear yours is working out for you too. And hey, if it's so pretty anymore, that just means you've been ridding a lot!
