Swap Trailbike cranks from Saints to SLX m665?

So I need some feedback on my crank setup. Currently I am running new Saints mc-810, 33t e.13 ring and an MRP miniG on my Giant Trance X.
no complaints except i figure I could save a significant amount of weight for not much cost. a little bit of research and inference shows the crankarms @600 vs. ~730 saints via sicklines.
I am 200lbs, Cat 1 dher, and can mash the pedals, but I have never been astute enough to discern when a crank is flexing, but maybe this is due to me running dh cranks generally, will i be dissappointed?

I am seeing m665s for ~$150, and am wondering how much I could sell my saints for, it would be nice to break even...

my only concern is this comment in Bikeradar review "The only issue is shallow bottom bracket cups if you’re using a non-ISCG chain device," (which i would be) could i use my Saint BB then?

any help on this pretty insignificant yet interesting to contemplate situation would be appreciated.

The bb's are interchangable. The "shallow" comment probably has to do with getting a grip on the cup with the bb tool, when the bb mount chainguide is taking up some of the real estate. It's not a problem, I have the same setup on my 4x which doesn't have ISCG tabs.

I run Hone cranks on my 4x (and on my DH), and while I'm nowhere near your ability, I am close to your weight and don't exactly ride smooth lines. My Hones have been plenty stiff, and I'd be looking at SLX cranks for replacement.

Correction to my previous reply - the "shallow" comment would be about the depth the cup threads into the frame, since the bb mount backplate would prevent it from threading in as deep. What I wrote above would apply to ISCG mounting.

Anyway, that would be the same issue with any external bb and a bb mount chainguide, and I've never heard of it being a problem before. If one guy's experience is worth anything, it hasn't been a problem for me.

awesome guys, thanks for the replies!

If the "shallow cup issue" is as described above, I have no reservations as I have been beating on this near identical current setup for like 2 years. no worries.

I will likely pull the trigger on it and a bunch of other junk from CRC, and put the Saints up for sale...
