Swapping hubs to new 24" Wheel

Hi
Quick question. I just bought a Fall Guy from a guy here on ridemonkey. It comes with some rather crap rims, but decent Specialized hubs. They're 24" wheels. I have a couple of Sun Ringle rims (24") lying around from a previous trade. They're both the same in terms of hole-count (I believe 32) and line up perfectly side-by-side. I'm wondering if I would have any problems just transferring the hubs and spokes over to the new rims. Is this possible? I'm comfortable with a lot of bike mechanics, but wheels are no-mans-land to me. Anyway, thanks for reading.

How much is it to just have a mechanic relace all the spokes into the new rim? Any idea? Or would be easy to just measure the ERD myself and go buy some spokes? Thanks

No clue as to how much it would cost, but chances are the spokes will not be the same. To get new spokes, get the rim erd, the flange diameter, distance between center of hub and flange....just use a spoke cac, go to your LBS and get them cut. But from what I have read, it would be best you just take the hubs and new rims to your LBS for them to do.

I swap rims all the time and just zip tie them together and relace them. It is not ideal but works fine. I always change the nips just for ease of building.
