ahh nothing better than getting out and putting the hurt on yourself in the hills.
I wanted a good cardio workout so I decided to do a little TT out to our nortnern firestation and back nothing really long just a hilly 12 miles. My goal was to keep my HR between 165 and 175. I started out at 2900' and dropped down to 2400' in the first 1/4 mile then spent the next 2 miles climbing up to 3100'. now the fun begins, a 3.5 mile spun out descent in a 53x11 to 1900' followed by a 1/2 mile 200' climb. It's much harder heading back but thats the challenge, push a good pace all the way back up to 3100 enjoy the 2 mile descent then finish with the out of the saddle 1/4 mile charge up the 500' wall [so much for holding the hr under 175] did the loop in 45 minutes.
way fun
