Hotmail is still the best publicly available service, though. The layout is very clean and it has more features than anything else I've seen.
The gmail account has some really cool features though, and holy **** is it fast. Factor in lack of picture ads, the huge storage limit, some neato mail handling features... I'm psyched.

Old yahoo accounts had 8mb newer ones only have 5mb. I know a lot of web base e-mail sites are trying to compete with Google's 1 gig free of online storage space. I'm happy with the 100.
