I have a 03 5"DJIII standard QR. Can I just get ahold of some 20mm thru axle lowers and switch'em? Would they have to be 03? or could I get the stronger 04? I don't think the DJ came in 5" for 04. Anybody have some 20mm lowers?

The '04 is internally adjustable from 110 to 130 or 150mm so you should be able to use '04 lowers.
