Yeah, the stuff's unreal! Clay said the movie should be ready to rock in about a month. To be honest, i really haven't been impressed w/ many mtb movies....especially w/ everything going to freeride....but this knocked me off my feet! full on race action! SIIIIIC!! Can't wait to get my copy!

indeed. made him play it back for me three times and it brought me to tears each time.

so proud of our tall little clay. his skills have improved immensely. if the full-length version is half of what that teaser was, i think he'll land himself in the rankin ranks of video mastery.

sorted!

what's w/ all the competition against earthed talk? that's not clay's objective and it's not rankin's objective...how 'bout we all get stoked and piss ourselves because there are TWO really good RACE oriented MOVIES among hundreds of lackluster "other" mtb home videos.

I'll pick it up when it hits the scene.

Can't you just feel that tension when you see that shot of the gate dropping and the rider powering out in a snap...........this one looks like it captures a lot of racing essence---the speed, the starts, hauling ass in the dusty Cali courses, mud flying everywhere at the East Coast ones. It's gonna be a good one. :thumb:

pshhh. who are you kidding? all i heard out of clay all summer was about how he just couldn't wait to make a movie better than earthed. "my movie is going to kick rankin's arse." he'd repeat it incessantly. you can hear it in the background of his footage because he forgot the mic was picking up his competitive mumbling.

edit: oy, the trouble i get myself in...for the record, i was joking.

What's with all this hype about mountain bike movies period. After trans cont. that was enough for me, really they're all the same boring ass SH^T. Clay's seems to be cool, (I don't really know him, just a RM prejudgement) Also I heard that Clay is pretty full of himself and thinks his video's are the best sh^t to hit the earth. But really, come on, its time to get get SMART there is no money in MTb, it's all about the porn $.

BUt when it comes out I'll get a copy and bootleg it to any of my bro's on this here RM for $5 a copy, then it will be worth it.

crap, this forum topic started off pretty cool. supporing a new race movie coming out, supporting clay who's doing tremendous stuff all by himself. but now everyone's bagging on him, or others (rankin) who's been putting a lot of their sweat & time in a market that is indeed piss poor. now that all the high budget movies have gone "free-ride" i find it refreshing to see full on race action movies still being produced.

Yes Transcontinental was an awsome movie...& i do still watch it, but no matter how good it was, i don't want to see the same damn footage over and over again. I like to see new footage every year. u think they re-use the same **** in MX, snowboard, bmx, skate, whatever flicks??

I've never personally heard clay speak poorly of anyone, nor have i heard him be "full of himself" without joking. So unless you know for sure, don't talk smak about the boy. F*ck, it's like being in Jr. High here. (for those of you who are joking, i'm not directing this towads u), but for the rest of you jack-asses, don't talk ****, unless you can back it up.

So I will have to say that was definitely an amazing trailer. The only thing I have to say though is this. I remember seeing the teaser for his second movie and again I thought that the teaser was amazing. I decided to buy the second one and unfortunately was extremely dissapointed. The filming was great but the editing compared to the trailer was terrible. So I just hope that as he brings out this amazing new trailer, I am certainly going to buy the movie, I just hope I don't get let down with the use of his editing skills. He certainly has the editing skills but in the second movie it just seemed like he didn't use them.

Why don't you take your finger out of his ass cause I don't think there is enough room for it while your nose is in there.

And I know that I am not in it, I said the only vid that I would let myself being for more than a second is the trans cont. HA

I really hope Clay is reading this.

That teaser was nasty. Looks really good. I greatly prefer race oriented vids to freeride ones. Gets me much more amped to ride seeing guys go race speed.

I like this teaser. i want to own the video and watch it alot. I really liked second spectacle. the only problems i had with that were some of the music and certain sections were a little over-edited but those were minor complaints. where will i be able to buy this from? i will need it to hold me over till next race season.

How about Hill's two week drift!! or when he's pinning it out of that corner
Whoa.
I have drifted for a second or two.
But for two weeks, that is so sick.
I can't even take that much time off of work. :blah:

Ah, I love race vids.
Transcon.
Circus
Earthed
I gotta buy this new one when it comes out.
But I honestly can't sit through those freeride vids.
They are almost as bad as watching OLN's coverage......almost.

ahhh drifting.... There is just something about it that get's the blood pumping.
Its honestly my favorite thing to do on a bike period.
Especially those lucky ones when you it feel it coming,
and are in control of it.
And then of course, there are those sudden drifts that scare the poop
out of you, but somehow you save it and ride it out.
The only bad drifts or the ones where you drift right onto your azz.
Those especially suck, when your drift stops, and you highside.
But other than that, yeah, drifts.

drifts amaze me because I simply can't do them for a long time (like Hill in the video). Short unintentional ones I do all the time at N*, but purposely doing them I just can't :(

Orven – if I got to BB next summer will you teach me? :thumb:

Oh, I know. I don't do them alot, and that is why I think they are so fun.
I seem to do them more on my trailbike. Ya know riding in long sweeping corners, with 40 PSI in your tires. :)
But seeing Pros do those controlled ones are just insane.

Racing movies, in my safe and sound opinion, are just better and will always be better than pointless movies ruining the integrity of our sport like "JIB" or the "NWD" series;

Way to go Porter.

Sure to be on my holidays list with Earthed 2

Orven doesn't drift. He just locks his rear brake in corners long enough for someone to snap a neat picture before shooting himself through berms.
