I want to get something to access the web away from home, that I can plug in a keyboard and a monitor when I am home, and is $1000 or under.

I'd like to be able to read with it, which sounds like 5-7 inch screen, but I don't need much functionality, i.e. input devices, while I am away from home. Mostly I want to be able to drag with me on my bike.

Any suggestions?

Not really. I found a class of pc's called mini pc's. Flash memory, that kind of thing. Seems promising.

That PC has drawn great reviews. I asked about size because I have an HP Pavillion tx1000 and its a laptop/tablet hybrid.....I really like it and I only paid $680 on sale

Thanks. I saw one with a 9 inch screen and 3 USB ports for about $550. Perfect.
