I am down in Reno and am kicking the idea around.
If you drive all that way, make sure you bring a shorter travel bike for the race. You'll have more fun that way.
All I have is a big bike. I hike my bike a lot so that part wont be to bad. Is there camping down there.

Another close place to camp would be Laguna Seca. Its only a few minutes drive down highway 68 from Toro Park. http://www.co.monterey.ca.us/parks/lagunaseca_camp.html
