Finally got back to the hotel. Today was wild. Her brakes still weren't working after fixing the master, so we rebuilt the caliper. She dropped .9sec with the new brakes and they still weren't working right. We will see how she does with the new adjustments during warmup tomorrow. Because...
There was a massive storm that blew through and laid waste to the pit area and track. It added a 1.5hr delay to the day and we lost 1 of 3 practice sessions for the counterclockwise direction. Were hoping to get out with time to get dinner, go to Garden of the Gods, and back by 8:30, but that didn't happen. Haley did try proper tapas for the first time and liked it though, so new food is on the list.
Tomorrow starts at 6am. Track walk is at 7:15am, then away we go. She's .6 (of :59.7) behind her teammate (Seb) due to 3 turns (turns 1-3), otherwise she's the same or slightly faster through the rest of the track. The super fast kid, Seb is pacing through 1-3 and only slightly off for the rest of the track. If Haley can sort out 1-3, that makes it into a competitive race again.
