out yonder, round bout a hootinany
I'd like to pick up a little video camera, mostly for filming riding and goofing around. I also want to get a helmet cam to mount up.
I want the camera to be small (so I can throw it in my riding bag), having good (decent) image stabilzation, use miniDV tapes, and not be too expensive. I'd like to spend less than $500, because extra batteries and the helmet cam are going to add a bunch to the cost.
Next, tell me about helmet cams. The only company I know of is Viosport. Are there others that are worth looking into? What should I expect to spend to get decent image quality?
I know diddly squat about these things so I'm not even sure what I should be looking for. Let me know if I need to provide more information. Thanks in advance!
