GO! SEAHAWKS!
So I was thinking about grabbing Kevin brush cutter and heading down to Tape one day this weekend and clearing the trails.

Do I need to clear this with anyone? I know there is a handfull of people that work on the trails regularly there and I don't want to step on any toes.

Thanks, Amy

Amy, Kevin Kincaid pretty much adopted it the last few years. He's moving South and will have to give up on the work. He's the guy that built the new B&O Railroad section but had nothing to do with the ghetto circus teeter at the bottom. His website is: www.bikeporn.com and you can contact him there.
Good to ask. But, no real need to ask permission to brush. It's been real low key the past few years and folks help out when they can. Such as yourself.
I would assume that as long as the general flavor of the trail isn't altered, no one will care and the work will be greatly appreciated. I wish more riders would take a "local focal" attitude with he local after work rides we have.
IF you're not going to Whister, have at it! Thanks!

If you work Monday morning i'll help. :)

Any excuse to buy a machete and hack and slash is a good one. Maybe do some woodwork while i'm there too....

It's a deal! I have Monday off! I might even rope Kevin into coming.

I have an gas powered brush cutting thing that works good, but makes my arms ache after about 15 minutes. I'll bring some yard waste bags too.

PS....let's plan on going earlier than later, I don't want to be out there chopping in the heat!

Awesome i think we can make a compost pile off to the sides of trails somewhere in the bushes. i'll pre-scout for some wood work that might need some help.
i can do early no problem.
i was thinking maybe reinforcing the big log at Parasite so it doesn't move when you ride on it, with some posts... stuff like that, that's easy and fast to do, and should be taken care of to make things more safe and fun.
