Maybe, we may have The Jan II here, and Levi and the others may be watching each other and let him slip away. However, an effort like today may have him falling back in subsequent days.
If Linus can hang tomorrow then I would say he is contender. Though, I have a feeling his effort today may have done him in.
I got the feeling that's what happened today.
my thoughts exactly. Tomorrow will be critical. He did look like he had a "nasty case of the rabies" at the end today.
The so-called "real" contenders weren't really working hard today and they were keeping pace with Gerdemann. Granted, he was in the break all day, but I don't imagine he could stick with some of the ridiculous accelerations we're going to see when the big guys start the battle. He may keep yellow for a few days if the stars stay cautious, but he'll lose time slowly if not in one huge attack. Amazing ride by the kid though; I hope he can hang on.
Whether he wins or not, he managed an amazing dream today. All I could say was "wow" when he really picked up tempo.
Yea, he put on an amazing stage today. To be in the break away the entire stage, then to pull away at the end was amazing.
As for Levi... I don't follow cycling much, basically just the tour, but the last couple of years I've gotten the impression that Levi isn't team leader material. I'm not sure what it is about him, but I keep waiting for him to show me he's a legitimate contender and he keeps coming up short.

I'm always concerned with Levi, he just seems to go missing on big stages. Today should be interesting...
Those things are SCARY in the crash tests...I wouldn't be caught dead with one on my head...
From all the tests I have read, the new Catlike helmets are designed very well. I want the Catlike Whisper. The Kompact was the one recalled.

Not talking about the recall, more personal experience watching a major company's test setup. Some helmets fared pretty damn well, some just sheared in half, meaning it'd be your skull hitting the pavement pretty soon afterwards...
Levi, IMO is way too easy going to win, or even podium.
Maybe if they pumped in his ear "eye of the tiger" 24/7 it might help??
LOL! That would be freaking hilarious if Johan played eye of the tiger through Levi's headset over and over all the way up one of the mtn stages.
When I first watched Rocky, that song got us so pumped up we went out running, in the rain. And yeah, I was in like grade two...
