Maybe. If your having problems with the Boxxer, then I'd go for it. If you race regularly, the Dorado would be better as the damping works better in my opinion. I to have just switched to a Dorado, from a Boxxer Race mind you, though the Race worked well for me.
The maintenance is about the same for both forks, and must be adheared to in order to keep the fork running at it's best. I've just torn down the Dorado for a tune up yesterday, and if you follow Orven's info, it's super easy. My Dorado twisted a little on my last ride, but that's not uncommon for inverted forks. It's an easy trailside fix though.
As for ride, they are fairly close in the ride quality. Both forks have flex, but differant types. Boxxers tend fo flex for-to-aft, the Doarado flexes side to side. I did not notice either forks flex to be a disadvantace or cause for concern. I beleive they weigh fairly close to the same, though I could be wrong.
I agree but your opinion may be a little bit biased 'cause Boxxer Race don't have the same internals than the Team or World Cup. I tend to go with Boxxers because they can be serviced lot more easily and they look way moore cooler than Dorados (my opinion here). BUT I don't think it would be that much of a difference-->maybe the 2005 Boxxers are more worth considering the change
I too would say the dorado. I loved mine and only sold it because it was a bit short for the bikie I had so gave me too steep a head angle.
It was however the sweetest feeling fork I have ever ridin. If you look after it it will look after you.
I also found it to be quite resistant to crash damage, the stantions are well protected and the stickers are very thick and did a good job of protection the uppers (I have scratched stantions and lowers on normal forks but the dorados were fine)
